Coming to dealerships soon is Volkswagen's newest SUV, the 2022 Taos. With a clean design and plenty of room, it comfortably seats five while offering versatility and cargo volume. Each model is powered by an efficient turbocharged engine that is responsive in traffic and adds fun to your driving experience.
Here, we talk about the latest news about this exciting new addition to the Volkswagen family.
Expect the 2022 Volkswagen Taos to feature safety
The Taos offers a full suite of safety technologies that add a peace of mind to your driving. The available Front Assist & Pedestrian Detection system warns the driver and, under certain conditions, applies the brakes if the driver does not react in time.
The available Park Distance Control (rear) helps you back in or out of a parking spot. It uses sensors to detect and display how much space there is behind the vehicle. The Maneuver Braking feature can apply emergency braking in certain conditions to ensure a safe parking experience.
Taos is also slated to feature safety technologies such as Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Braking (Front Assist), Active Blind Spot Monitor, Lane Keeping System (Lane Assist), Adaptive Cruise Control, High Beam Control, and an Adaptive Front-Lighting System.
The 2022 Volkswagen Taos is functional and roomy inside
The standard two-tone interior features contrast stitching that adds a sense of sophistication. Standard heated front seats make cold seasons easier to handle, and available ventilated leather seats add even more comfort while you soak in the ambient lighting.
And there is plenty of room for passengers and other important things you need to carry along. The Taos has over 2,800 litres of passenger volume and up to 1,877 litres of cargo volume. When it is time for a long holiday, the Taos shows its versatility as it flexes this space for your needs.
The 2022 Volkswagen Taos is powerful
The new 1.5-litre turbocharged engine is expected to output 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The lower displacement means better efficiency, and the turbocharger increases power. The Miller Cycle engine design uses new, innovative geometry that is very efficient.
Buyers will be able to select between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models.
