The New York International Auto Show has always been the stage for some of the biggest and most exciting automotive reveals in the world, and this year, Volkswagen did not disappoint. With their latest addition to the MY24 Atlas lineup, Volkswagen introduced the all-new Atlas Peak Edition. Inspired by the Atlas Basecamp concept, the Peak Edition of the Atlas has been designed with unique interior and exterior features to appease the adventurous and outdoorsy folk. Let's dive deeper into the features that make this rugged trimline truly stand out.
The Atlas Peak Edition boasts unique exterior features that set it apart from the rest of the Atlas lineup. The rugged design elements include body cladding, unique wheels, and all-terrain tires. What's even more impressive is the black-out exterior detailing that underlines the car's distinctiveness. The front fascia, in particular, gets an upgrade with the addition of underbody cladding in silver, as well as a gloss-black "X" design element that stretches across the lower fascia, inspired by the Atlas Cross Sport. Two chrome strips add a pop, flowing to either side of the illuminated logo.
The interior design of the Peak Edition is equally impressive, with signature interior finishes that are exclusive to this trimline. Indeed, it features black leatherette with light grey accents and orange contrast stitching, dash and door inserts in a check pattern, and ambient lighting with 30 colour choices paired with unique backlit dash décor. A steering wheel clip bears the same logo as the exterior badging.
Peak Edition models don't just look the part. These vehicles have been designed and engineered for adventure. A gloss-black badge with the Peak Edition logo in orange and chrome on its front quarter panel, 18-inch black alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, black mirror caps, window surround, wheel arches and roof rails to complete the black-out look. Additionally, it has a black tailgate strip and rugged black and silver diffuser with chrome exhaust Bezels.
The Atlas Peak Edition is a new breed of Atlas altogether, and with its rugged exterior and luxurious interior, it's sure to be a hit with outdoor enthusiasts. The unique features such as the body cladding and all-terrain tires make this trimline capable of scaling most terrains. The interior finishes are meticulously crafted, with unique seating and accents that add to the vehicle's overall aesthetic.
Moreover, the Atlas Peak Edition also features advanced technology to make any road trip memorable. The 2024 Atlas Peak Edition is an exceptional vehicle that is worth giving serious consideration to if you’re looking for a spacious family car that delivers the highest level of performance while catering to your adventure-loving spirit.
The 2024 Atlas lineup will be detailed in full closer to launch this summer.
