Moreover, there are some very impressive technologies available in the new Atlas and more powertrain options as well. Here are three things to know about the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas.
It looks more refined
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas has received numerous changes that make it more elegant starting with a redesigned front and rear fascia. The Atlas retains its most important differentiating elements including its muscular look, but it also gets a new grille, new bumpers, and of course Volkswagen’s new logo. Inside, there’s a new steering wheel, dashboard, and new infotainment screen that’s larger at 8 inches and easier to use.
It has more options under the hood
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas also offers an impressive blend of powertrains and although the engines carry over from the 2020 model year, there are new options that you can add to them. For instance, the entry-level turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 235 horsepower is now available with 4Motion all-wheel drive which is great news for anyone looking for absolute control in winter or on wet roads. The 3.6-litre V6 is still on the menu with 276 horsepower and an impressive 5,000-pound towing capacity.
It has a lot of features
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas starts at just over $40,000 and packs plenty of features. The base Trendline model includes 18-inch wheels, blind spot monitoring, automatic braking, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rearview mirror with auto-dimming, and so much more. Keyless entry, a power liftgate, three-zone climate, adaptive cruise control with stop&go, park distance control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a 12-speaker Fender audio system are all available.
