The boldly designed, all-new Atlas Cross Sport is another fine addition to Volkswagen's SUV family. It offers remarkable comfort, powertrain selections, advanced safety, 4MOTION all-wheel drive and more. These features add up to a fantastic vehicle for your summer adventures and beyond.
Let's take a closer look at the 2021 Atlas Cross Sport.
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is passenger- and cargo-focused
Each Cross Sport is vacation-ready with room for up to five passengers and over 1,140 litres of cargo volume behind the rear seats. Behind the front seats and with rear seats folded, cargo volume nearly doubles! The available power liftgate with Easy Open function makes loading and unloading a quick task. No matter your destination this summer, the Atlas Cross Sport provides impressive and convenient room for baggage, gear, or whatever you can fit.
Long trips must also be comfortable. Rear seat passengers have over 1,020 mm of leg room and nearly 1,540 mm of shoulder room, which helps keep the peace among younger passengers. Front seat occupants bump up to nearly 1,060 mm of leg and over 1,560 mm of shoulder room. Overall, there is plenty of room to stretch out and relax.
The 2021 Atlas Cross Sport has the power to get you there
Most models offer the choice of two capable powertrains that will put the 'go' in your adventure. You can have a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that outputs 235 horsepower and nearly 260 lb-ft of torque. Or, if you prefer naturally aspirated power, a 3.6L V6 provides 276 horsepower and slightly more torque than the turbo. The turbo has a better fuel consumption rating, and the V6 achieves more power. Either way, you win.
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport enhances its footing
4MOTION all-wheel drive is available for each grade level, which also includes four driving modes that provide the best possible traction settings for summer roads ahead. On-Road Mode features Performance, Eco, or Comfort mode for a smoother ride. Off-Road Mode prevents loss of traction by limiting the throttle response when you are on the trail. You can also customize Off-Road Mode, and Snow Mode is available when winter sets in.
