The 4Motion AWD
As with every other Volkswagen SUV, the 2023 Taos can be equipped with the acclaimed 4Motion all-wheel drive system. This technology uses sensors to instantly detect any trace of wheel spin. This allows it to remain disconnected when the road conditions are favourable in order to save fuel and reduce wear on the system, but it makes it ready to send up to 50% of the engine power to the rear wheels at any time. Out on the road, this means that the Taos can seamlessly transfer power between the front and rear wheels as needed in order to increase the traction and stability of the vehicle when the road is slippery.
The Volkswagen app with remote start
The 2023 Volkswagen Taos is available with the remote start as part of the Car-Net connected services package. This means that owners simply have to open the app on their phone to start or stop the engine of their Taos in order to pre-heat the cabin at a comfortable level, thus preventing them from ever having to step into a cold vehicle again. The remote start is standard on the Taos Comfortline and Highline models, but the entry-level Trendline can also be equipped with it at the time of purchase.
The heated front seats and steering wheel
Every 2023 Volkswagen Taos comes standard with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. This means that even buyers with a smaller budget can benefit from the comfort of heating elements in the bottom and backrest of both front seats. The heated steering wheel adds another level of comfort in cold weather by keeping the driver’s hands at a comfortable temperature for the entire length of their drive.
