The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan marks a bold step forward in the evolution of this popular SUV. A complete redesign brings sophisticated styling, enhanced performance, and cutting-edge technology to the compact SUV segment. Built on Volkswagen's advanced MQB evo platform, this new generation Tiguan delivers improvements in every aspect that matters to British Columbia drivers.
Advanced Technology Meets Premium Design
The 2025 Tiguan immediately catches attention with its commanding presence. Its higher, more powerful front end features slim headlights and an available LED light bar that creates a distinctive light signature. The profile shows off athletic proportions, with a curved undercut above the front fenders flowing into a strong shoulder line. Three stunning new colours join the palette: Avocado Green Pearl, Ascot Grey, and Monterey Blue Pearl. The exterior design isn't just about looks—an extended roofline with an integrated spoiler and strategic aerodynamic elements enhance efficiency.
Inside, the cabin showcases a clean, elegant design that elevates the driving experience. The standard 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro and 12.9-inch central infotainment display with MIB4 interface create an impressive tech-forward environment. A new centre console design, made possible by moving the gear selector to the steering column, provides additional storage space. Premium materials including genuine American walnut open pore wood and upgraded leather surfaces reflect attention to detail throughout the interior.
Enhanced Performance for Modern Drivers
Under the hood, the Tiguan receives significant updates focused on both power and efficiency. The revised 2.0-litre turbocharged engine now delivers 201 horsepower, a notable increase from its predecessor. Engineers achieved a 77-kilogram weight reduction through the use of aluminum suspension components and high-strength steel in the body structure. These changes enhance both acceleration and fuel economy, with specific consumption figures to be announced closer to launch.
Safety and Comfort for Every Journey
The new Tiguan introduces four additional airbags, bringing the total to ten for comprehensive occupant protection. Standard IQ.DRIVE Level 2 driver assistance features include Travel Assist, Front Assist with pedestrian monitoring, Active Blind Spot Monitor, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go functionality. Comfort features like standard wireless charging, heated front seats and steering wheel, and Climatronic Touch automatic climate control ensure year-round comfort for BC weather conditions.
The 2025 Tiguan offers three distinct trim levels, each with its own wheel design: 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels on the Trendline, 18-inch wheels on the Comfortline, and bold 20-inch wheels for R-Line models. Available premium features include a head-up display, 15-inch infotainment screen, and a 12-speaker Harmon/Kardon sound system.
Clearly, the completely redesigned 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan represents a significant advancement in design, technology, and performance. Pricing information will be revealed as the launch date approaches.
