Since its arrival on the market, the Volkswagen ID.4 has been a resounding success. The exceptional value offered by this model, its impressive 100% electric range, its high level of performance, and its exceptional versatility make the ID.4 one of the most interesting electric vehicles available on the market today.
Of course, the popularity of the ID.4 meant that availability was limited. The good news is that Volkswagen has just announced the start of production of the 2023 models at its plant in Tennessee, which should make up for some of the delivery delays. For 2023, the Volkswagen ID.4 receives several improvements that make it a truly exceptional vehicle and accentuate the qualities already present on the 2022 model.
Here are three notable improvements made to the 2023 Volkswagen ID.4.
A new, more affordable version
The new Volkswagen ID.4 2023 will get a new, more affordable rear-wheel drive version with a 62-kWh battery and a starting price of only $43,995 plus preparation fees. We're talking about a vehicle that's $1,000 less than the most affordable version last year. The range of the new 62 kWh battery has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to be over 350 kilometers.
Better range for the all-wheel drive model
The other interesting feature of the new Volkswagen ID.4 is the improved range of the version with an 82-kWh battery. The latter will now offer 410 km of range even with all-wheel drive, an improvement of 16 km over last year's model.
New technologies and more equipment
Finally, the 2023 VW ID.4 will have several technological improvements. There are several new safety systems, including a driver assistance system on the highway that will allow automated lane changes, cyclist detection for the automatic braking system, and a redesigned interior that features a new 11.3-inch central touchscreen and a new 8-inch digital instrument panel. New 20-inch wheels as well as new exterior colors are also added to the 2023 Volkswagen ID.4's offerings. Contact us today to learn more about this exciting new model.
