The 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan focusses on style and drivability
Volkswagens have always been known for their calibrated driving dynamics. While maximum horsepower can impress on paper, the spirit of a vehicle lies in a good balance of torque and chassis components. That’s why the 2022 Tiguan is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder unit that deploys 184 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. This is much more torque than the CX-5’s base engine. It channels the power to an 8-speed transmission, which is a more advanced transmission than the CX-5’s 6-speed.
The Tiguan also has standard 4MOTION AWD system, a system which can conquer more roads thanks to multiple driving modes that are more adapted to our climate than CX-5’s i-Activ system.
