The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas expands for your family
Volkswagen designed the Atlas to accommodate the needs of families, and that means a roomy interior. Behind the front seats and with the remaining seats folded, the Atlas produces nearly 2,741 litres of cargo volume. Comparatively, the Highlander provides just under 2,390 litres. The difference is about the size of a sedan's trunk area. The Atlas also has more cargo volume behind the second row.
It is even more important that all occupants feel the size difference, too. The front and second rows feature more headroom and shoulder room than the Highlander. The third row has more legroom and headroom than its competitor. Your family will thank you on long trips.
The Atlas also offers other features that you won't find with the Highlander.
