2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport offers more power
The Atlas Cross Sport offers two engines suitable for all types of driving. Among them is the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that develops 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This engine has a net power advantage over the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe which offers just 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. It makes a big difference when you need the power for everyday riding.
The Atlas Cross Sport also offers a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine with each model. It increases horsepower to 276 and torque to 266 lb-ft. This is much more powerful than the Santa Fe’s base engine by a long shot, and offers just 1 pony less than the Santa Fe’s top of the line engine.
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport has more capacity and safety features
Versatility is one of the most important qualities of any SUV, and a big part of that comes in the form of cargo capacity. The Cross Sport offers 2,203 liters of volume behind the front seats, an increase of over 160 liters compared to the Santa Fe.
Behind the rear seats, the Volkswagen continues this trend with 110 liters more volume than the Santa Fe for a total of 1,141. All occupants also have on average an additional 60mm of shoulder room in the front and rear of the Atlas Cross Sport.
